Artwork Requirements - Waterslide Decals

General Requirements

  • Setup your artboard for the sheet size you’re ordering.
  • Leave a 5mm clear margin all around. So the maximum size of your artwork should be A3-410x287mm, A4-287x200mm & A5-200x138mm
  • Resolution as 300/600dpi.
  • Save with a transparent background (anything seen by the printer including white will be printed so backgrounds must be removed if you don't want it printing).
  • Preferred file export types are PNG/RGB for a flat raster format or a PDF/SVG with CMYK (but please explode or convert all elements (like text/fonts, outlines, effects etc) to curves)
  • There's no need to separate any colours or layers, we use a digital printing process and the printer's RIP software processes a single full-colour image file automatically.
  • We don't require a separate white layer, any white visible in the artwork file will be printed.
  • If you're ordering transfers with WHITE UNDERPRINT, then the printer will automatically produce the white layer for the underprinting. 
  • If you have a file with a white background, we can turn off ALL white for that print but if you have any white elements in the file, these wouldn't be printed either. 
  • The maximum file size you can upload is 50MB. It is VERY rare to need to have a file size larger than this for a high quality print. It's possible that if your file is larger than this, that your artboard size or resolution is set incorrectly, so please double check this if your file is too large. If you have no other option but to upload a file larger than 50MB, then just upload ANY image file to your order, tick the permissions box and add a comment in the Basket/Cart BEFORE you reach the checkout to let us know that you're emailing over the link to a full-sized file. You can use any of the main file transfer platforms (WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud etc) for us to use for printing :) Our email can be found in the Contact page top right. Please DO NOT EMAIL LARGE FILES :) 

Other Notes

  • Scaled discounts are automatically applied for order quantities of 5, 10, 25, 50 & 100 items. Just amend the quantity in the basket/cart and see the price change.
  • To upload your files, go to the product you wish to order and upload directly to the site from there.
  • You'll need to tick the box confirming you have permission from the rights holder to use the artwork you submit.

Excellent Custom Transfers for My Peregrine Talons

Really pleased with my custom Peregrine Talons transfer sheet. The Chapter insignia has been reproduced exactly as I envisioned it, with sharp detail, clean colours and a great range of sizes for different models and armour panels.

I haven’t applied the transfers yet, but the quality of the print looks excellent and I’m looking forward to seeing them bring my homebrew Chapter to life on the tabletop.

Great quality waterslide decals delivered fast!

Great quality and speedy turnaround

I have used the waterslide transfers for a couple of projects now and the quality and speed of delivery are excellent. I have generated my designs on an iPad and exported them for direct upload to the Phoxy site, and there have been no issues at all with the delivered print quality or colours. The transfers were successfully applied to painted wooden surfaces and then varnished. Highly recommended and will continue to use them!

1/32 F-4 phantom decals

I've had some custom RAF F-4 phantom decals rescaled and printed by Phill and they were beautifully printed on 2 huge sheets. As a modeller it's fantastic to be able to have someone that can design and print any decal that are not readily available to create any Specific subject you wish.
