Artwork Requirements - Laser Printed Transfers

General Requirements

  • Setup your artboard for the sheet size you’re ordering (larger sizes are the most cost effective).
  • Leave 10mm clear margin all around.
  • Resolution as 300/600dpi.
  • Save with a transparent background (anything seen by the printer including white will be printed so background must be removed).
  • Preferred file export types are PNG/RGB for a flat raster format or a PDF/SVG with CMYK (but please explode or convert all elements to curves)
  • There's no need to separate any colours or layers, we use a digital printing process and the printer's RIP software processes a single full-colour image file automatically.

Transfer Specific Requirements

Flex-Soft, Flex-Soft Metallic Transfers & Metallic Waterslide Decals require the artwork to be completely black with transparency where you don't want anything printing.

Other Notes

  • Scaled discounts are automatically applied for order quantities of 5, 10, 25, 50 & 100 items. Just amend the quantity in the basket/cart and see the price change. 
  • To upload your files, go to the product you wish to order and upload directly to the site from there. You'll need to tick the box confirming you have permission from the rights holder to use the artwork you submit.

I had an unusual request for some waterslide labels for a pre-war car fuel pump. (SU Petrolift)

Having been able to create a basic image myself, Phill patiently refined the image and it's dimensions to accurately recreate a convincing facsimile of the original label.
The job of getting it right took a lot of communication over several detailed messages, and I am extremely pleased with the result.
Although I have not yet had the chance to apply the decals, I'm more than confident that all will be well.

Many thanks Phill for your patience and help in getting this small detail on an old car right, and for the blisteringly quick arrival in the post!
